Hello Folks
I was asked to paint a commission for a client for their christmas of their lovely Boxer. This was done in photoshop and took around 8 hours to complete. Here I show you the breakdown of the painting process and built it up to the final product.
This image was drawn in photoshop to a specific way like a traditional painter, so no cheating by using the smudge tool. Just picking colours and blending.
Basic Sketch
Adding in the blocking of the colour and basic values.
Rendering stages
Adding the final detail and colour fix using the colour balances
Final finish with fixing the shape using the liquify tool, fixing contrast and then final finish with a complimentary coloured background.
